how would you all feel if you had a childcare provider that did not vaccinate herself or kids but also don't inform the families?

I found out after my child was no longer going that this provider does not vaccinate herself or kids. She don't tell parents my child was only 5 months at the time. She currently is watching twin 4 month olds. I am scared for these babies but don't know what to do. I have descused this with several doctors and they advise me to keep my kids away from these children as they are carriers of such dieses. My youngest has a medical condition that is life threatining. Pls some type of feed back........ Does anyone know how to get a law changed about vaccines in state of mo? EVERY CHILD NEEDS VACCINES. IT DOES NOT CAUSE MEDICAL CONDITIONS. THAT IS IN DNA. IF THEY ARE GOING TO GET AUTISM THEY ARE GOING TO GET IT WITH OR WITHOUT VACCINES. and other dieses too. Vaccinate kids protect unvaccinated ones and the unvaccinated can cause harm to infants and elderly.

She violated your right to know. I would be absolutely livid. Where I live, parents do not need to vaccinate their children to send them to daycare, preschool or public school, although the schools do have the right to request that those children do not attend during outbreaks of disease although they can not warn other parents of the risks due to privacy rights.. But I find it quite another matter entirely when the care provider is not vaccinated and is providing care to children to young to have received a full set of vaccines themselves. She has entirely removed YOUR right to make that choice. Adults also must receive boosters of certain vaccines, and to not do so when carrying for children too young to receive these shots is highly unprofessional and in my opinion, highly irresponsible. We all have the right to refuse vaccines, but we don't have the right to put others at risk without informed consent.

Vaccines can be harmful in rare circumstances. Some people are at risk from them, and those people particularly deserve to be protected by the herd immunitiy in the population. People like your care provider sabotage the safety of those who can not receive vaccines.

@ Gale "I'm sorry but I think it should be up to the parents! Not you!"

Exactly the point. It should be up to the parents and in this case, the poster's parental right to be informed was removed. None of us can force others to vaccinate. But I have zero patience for them thinking that they have the right to put the rest of us at risk. They can make choices for themselves, but they don't have the right to expose my yet-to-be-vaccinated infant to that choice.

well my child had seizures and other helth isues her doc said she could not have the active vaccinate that she gets no active witch means its not a live virise. my child hass pddnos witch she did not have un tell she got her shots. but once agin some obgyns make birth misstakes so on top of gettig the live virse a child COULD get autism. my child nero was from irland n with there thats what one of the things he specialized in. so i do give my kids the vaccines but the non active ones witch also wirh those there r less bad side affects. n my friend that is 30 has never had any of the shots. and she has been less sick as and adult. and she dont go out of her state eather. so back to your coment yes kids shoud get them but the non active one and im not so sure about bout the new ones cause the you rally dont know what there pitting in them and if you are allergic it could do u more harm.

I would start with the regulatory authority for child care providers in your area, it depends on where you live but you should be able to make a complaint. I would be very annoyed that you were not informed.

I understand your pov but medication of drawn up on a personal level. Not over all. Kids will not ovet dose on childhood vaccines. Allergic reactions yes that can happen. But a unvaccinted child can harm babies and elderly. Kids go every where. So just like catching the flu out can happen. It ismy right to know. It is wrong to not inform the people around you period. Sure your kid do what you want, but know 5 drs I have talked to say it is a bad decision.

My brother almost died from reacting to the vaccine! It adult does shoved into these little bodies! You would give your child adult does of tynole? Or alcohol but it okay to double up on vaccines? I'm sorry but I think it should be up to the parents! Not you! I'm my self is vaccinated, but my son who is small for his age is 6 to 8 month behind and I only do one dose at a time, not the recommended two to three at a time. I don't want me son dying on me for being over medicated! Or becoming paralyzed, that is my choice not the government or you!
