how would you respond

My husband says that to me very often and it's great. I was smaller than I am now when we met but had my 3rd child in my 30's with him. I'm now 40 and he says he loves me more than when we married.
I would prefer a man that loves me for who I am, not what I looked like. That's true love.

This is a GOOD reason to be in love with someone. If he had fallen in love with a person because of how they looked, that's superficial. I think he was trying to make the point that to him, he loves you anyway, regardless of your weight, and that weight and age don't matter to him. He loves you for who you are.
