My daughter had a hypoglycemic attack yesterday morning, her blood glucose level was 30 , I am very puzzled as to the way she got violent when we were trying to administer carbohydrate to her , she kept kicking and scratched me about he body quite a bit and would not open her mouth and then she would suddenly go lifeless for a few seconds, she cried, kicked around and fought us , wouldn't allow us to give her the carbohydrates. Is the normal, it's the firt time she has reacted like this .

Her brain was being deprived of glucose which is necessary for healthy neurological function. Dangerously low glucose levels like the one she was experiencing can cause confusion, emotional outbursts, tiredness and other neurological and physical symptoms. Hope that helps!
