I adopted a child from my own state who now wants to be back in foster care.

I have raised her as my own yet she wants to go back to foster care. She has threatened me, comes home when she wants to, has been involved with the police and recently in a fight with a group of girls. Is there a way for her to go back into foster care? She is in counseling but if anything she has gotten worse!

You would definitely need to talk to your case worker about this and whoever helped you adopt her. That is too bad... is there any chance you could stick it out and lover her unconditionally? Sounds like she's hurting and that's what she needs. Maybe she thinks she wants foster care because she's used to change and having different rules all the time and the consistency of your rules is hard to get used to? I'm not sure, but you really need to talk with the people who facilitated the adoption.

I think the best thing to do is speak with her previous case worker. There are so many stipulations depending on your country, state, etc that I am not sure that any of us can truly give you an answer. Best of luck.
