I am 7 months pregnant and cry over the littlest things! I also have some serious mood swings. Is this normal or am I losing my mind?

I am so emotional to the point I feel like I am a big old cry baby. I just want to laugh and enjoy the rest of my pregnancy without driving my husband nuts with the tears and up and down moods. any advice to calming down and feeling better. And is this normal?

I think just being aware of it helps already. If you feel yourself getting really emotional, you can take a step back and decide "do I really feel like this, or is this hormones?". Make sure you carry snacks with you. I got really angry every time I felt a bit hungry or tired, so just eating something or taking a nap made life easier.

Also, it is funny, really. :) So try to keep the funny side in mind and you'll laugh while you're growling or crying. I was so emotional (late pregnancy and early motherhood) during the 2009 Olympics, and you know those commercials... they are tearjerkers! I would just sob and sob and laugh and yell, "Change the channel, the waterworks are starting!

Lots of mood swings are very normal. I would be laughing one minute, and a commercial would have me weeping in seconds. Then I would get pissed that I was crying. Go figure. You may want to ask your doctor to be on the safe side, but mood swings are very normal. Our hormones are absolutely out of control, and can even be worse once the baby comes. Let your doctor know this is happening so you can be watched after pregnancy aslo.
