My son is 12 years old who had PDD-NOS he has a very hard time listening and doesn't like to share. He is 5 years behind in school but is in a regular inclusion class room and it seems like he just getting more behind I really don'twant him in a all inclusion class anymore because I don't think it is helping him feel good about himself and the work is too hard for him. He only has one friend in his school. I need help in getting in a non-public school where they can focuse on his learning and help him with everything else. I see my son more sad and embaressed about the way he is in front of other kids I know that he gets teased it breaks my heart please someone help me please.

The school board and others should be able to help,if not, contact others, if all else fails, contact your state representative for assistance.

Thank you Chaya for responding He is pulled out to get help 25% of the time but that is not enough It's going to be a battle trying to get him in a special school but I think that is what I need to do.

If you can prove he's disabled, there should be no issue with putting him in special ed. There are going to be doctors reports, etc, that can bu used, you shouldn't have to request he be put in special ed. If the school district isn't encouraging his placement in such classes, they are genuinly incompetent. Contact the school board,, the state board of pub;ic instruction, or the state ombudsman for public education for assistance.
