Congrats! Make sure you take good care of yourself, take your folic acid and prenatal vitamin and put yourself in the hands of a good obstetrician. There are load of test you CAN have to determine if there is any sort of genetic abnormality. What you NEED is something you should talk over with your partner and your doctor. What would you do if you found out something was wrong? If you'd do nothing, then you have nothing to worry about.

Girl you'll be fine. You have kids who can help. Now that you are finding out you will be having another child your doctor may put you on high risk pregnancy but then again he may not. I prayed day in and day out throughout my pregnancy because it was a high risk pregnancy I found myself in the women's health clinic where I would be having my baby quite often and one of the doctors told me to terminate my pregnancy because of my health issues when I found out but I trusted God. I don't know if you are a person who believes in God but if you do and you pray covering everything you will be just fine. I birth 2 healthy babies during a high risk pregnancy and I'm still alive today.

Congratulations (I think?) :) I'm sure your doctor can recommend the right tests!
OK, so I don't have a 22 year old and a 19 year old, but I am 47 and my daughters are 10 and 7....my youngest was born, and four months later, I turned 40. Maybe I am lying to myself, but I think younger children keep you young! :) And, you will have a whole new frame of life, I imagine, from when you had kids at a young age. You will have the life view of comparison between being a very young mom and an older mom! I think that's awesome, personally.
I know I went through a battery of tests as an older mom, and thankfully, all checked out well. Talk with your doctor!
I wish you all the best! :)

There are many women that have their first baby at 37 or older. It must be tough because your 2 are already grown.
I would go to your OBGYN as previously recommended, find out how far along you are. Talk with the doctor about all of your "what-ifs". Maybe even make a list of concerns and questions before going in.
How does your partner feel about the news?
