I am so frustrated and concerned my 7 year old son was diagnosed with ADHD last year. I really feel it is often diagnosed and he was just barely boarderline. we tried 3 different meds and nothing really seemed to help. His Dad and I felt it would be best to remove him from meds so we did. He also cries over the silliest things. It is the 2nd week of school and the teacher has already sent home a note: he wont sit still or be quiet throws himself on the desk and cries when frustrated ect. Last year he was sent to the office so many times and I recieved more calls home than I can recall. I am frustrated and I just do not know what to do. He is not naughty at home, he mainly seems to have issues in group settings. I dont know what to do any suggestions?

Wow sounds like other things are going on if he is struggling in group settings. Behave you spoken with the school psychologist? They should at the minimum give your child and the teacher some suggestions for coping with the situation that do not include going to the office.also, if it really is ADHD and is borderline there are some studies out there that suggest diet can improve/assist with symptoms. But you definitely need a behavior modification plan for him (504plan).
