In regards to types, some medical strollers that provide decent support and are larger are Thomashilfen EASyS, Convaid (several types), Otto Bock Kimba Spring. These are the ones my friends and I have seen/tried/liked with our kids for use as a stroller type. Some others like the Special Tomato EIO, but I don't care for it and it doesn't provide much support or tilt-in-space.

There are several. First - have you checked Adaptive Mall (online site)? They have wheelchairs/medical strollers much cheaper than standard sites. Ebay also often has some posted. Oley Foundation http://www.oley.org/ has free medical equipment, but you have to watch it closely to catch what you need sometimes. http://www.teamupwithfamilies.org if you can travel, but call first to make sure they have something that would work. Next - donation sites or purchases from parents where they have been used. You need to request to join through facebook.

There are sure to be others, but these are the ones I'm in so am familiar with.
