My son Jason is turned three this past March and his speech seems to me to be very behind, I would say that his vocabulary is 100 or less words. Potty training is a half success , meaning that some days he is completely able to go and have no accidents other days he is peeing and pooping in his pants. I really need some advice his father seems to not care and doesnt help with potty training so I feel I have no one to help me or even to vent to. All and any advice on speech and potty training would be cherished!

I'd get him re-evaluated now that he's 3. He may still not qualify for services... but maybe he will. My son was evaluated at 2.5 and didn't qualify for services at that time, but they told me to call back when he was 3... and he did. Good luck!

Thank you I have had his hearing tested and he was evaluated by infant and toddlers when we was 2 for not talking and they said that his physical milestones were above his age so that he wasnt eligible for speech therapy. His pediatrician seems to just blame me she say well talk to him more or stop letting his older half siblings speak over him. I feel like maybe it is my fault

I wouldn't worry about the potty training just yet, but I would speak to his doctor about the speech. He should get a hearing test and a speech evaluation and they would be able to tell you if he qualifies for services or not. The sooner the better as the bulk of a child's language development happens by his/her 5th birthday.
