My son is 3.5 soon, and he's still wearing nappies. We started potty training when he was nearing 3 as he was showing all signs that he was ready. However, all attempts have failed ever since we needed to go for a check up to the hospital (he had a rash of which the GP was unsure) and they wanted to take a urine sample. We spent 7 hours there, with him sitting on the aluminum bowl, trying to catch his pee. It was a nightmare for our little boy. Ever since he can go for hours without the nappy, but he gets to hysterics anytime we try to encourage him to sit on the potty (same with toilet). He holds his pee as long as he can and then screams for nappy, or he's just hiding behind things to pee in his pants.
I tried rewards, I tried sweets, nothing seems to work! Is there any other mum who could give us some advice, as I am out of ideas...
