I can't seem to take my 8 year old son out because he doesn't stay still, he's constantly moving around. Is there any natural supplements that can control that.

That would've been helpful to know in the OP.....

Talk to his doctor/therapist, etc.... they should be able to help you. Good luck!

Regla, why not say that in your original post. Please don't take internet advice on natural supplements when your son has a real diagnosis and I hope a real doctor. Don't be ashamed and don't leave out the most important facts when asking for advice. You have my sympathy that is a difficult condition for child and mom but there are worlds and worlds of resources available to you. Take advantage of them please.

My point was we think because something is natural it is safe. Lots of "natural" supplements are synthesized also.

Carol, heroin isn't natural, it's synthesized by adding two acetyl groups to the molecule morphine. That isn't natural, that is manufactured. As is cocaine, meth, crank, and most other drugs. The only natural ones that I know of (and these may not be all) are marijuana, and peyote. Oh, and catnip...

Does he get plenty of hard aerobic exercise. At 8 he may just be full of unreleased energy or he may have a medical problem. Please talk this over with a doctor and do not medicate him with any supplements - remember dog feces is natural, you just don't want to take it. So is heroin.

At 8 I'd be looking into medical/behavioral assistance for a diagnosis and/or behavior modification therapy... or something.

Have you tried explaining public behaviour, and your expectations of his behaviour to him? At 8, he can understand how to behave.

If so, and you've tried everything, then its time to look at his physical side. Is he constantly hyperactive? How does he do in school? Have teachers mentioned having a hard time keeping him on task, or keeping his attention?

I hate to suggest to people to look for a medical reason, but you may need to have him evaluated for ADHD and the like.
