I couldn't work outside my home...

I have a 9 year old son that has Autism. I have always worked outside the home. Although I enjoyed my job, I was always in a state of fear his school would call, and I wouldn't be able to leave. I have recently started an at home job, that pays exceptionally well, but I never seem to leave the house, except for walks (which calms my son) or just going to the market. I crave some grown up time, but being that my son is special needs, I cant seem to allow myself to leave him with a sitter. He is non verbal. I'm always worried about him, and who is around him. Although I found a legit money making company online, and I can stay home, I cant seem to feel happy. I was wondering if any other moms feel depressed from being at home all day? I would go out when he is school, but that's when I work online. Any advice?

I too have a Son who is on the Autism spectrum and every day when he was younger I would get phone calls from school about issues. I ended up starting an in home Daycare to cover my lost day job wages and also work online businesses as well.

The only advice I can give you is only leave him when you are comfortable and absolutely sure he is with someone you trust. Also, check with your community to see if you could be provided with respite care to help with him while you get out.

Have a get together at your home as much as you can too. It stinks but social media can be an alternative solution until he gets older.
