This is my first pregnancy. I'm 25 yrs old. I feel weird about myself and things changes between what I used to like and what I used to hate. On my fourth months I had some spotting and it went on like a normal period so I went and do scan and they said there is no baby and i'm just overweight. But I'm gaining weight so quickly and my husband is along the way. They also told me that my ovaries are healthy and maybe I have some abnormal hormones. They wanted to give me some pills so that I can release eggs in order to get pregnant. So I didn't take went back to take the pills. Because someone once told me to trust my own body.. so on the sixth months I decided to went to another together which is the 3rd together I saw. Again she told me the same that i'm not pregnant. my ovaries are ok...but MAYBE the reason my belly is growing is because I missed my periods for too long. and I told her I can missed my periods for as long as it takes but my belly does not grow this big. and she said, oh sometimes you think you're pregnant and your ovaries grow that's why you're belly is growing. I went home SO CONFUSING...how can somebody think that they're a pregnant and their ovaries grow and you look like you're pregnant...IS IT TRUE?? IS IT POSSIBLE TO BE LIKE THAT?? so I went to 3 different traditional midwives... I didn't tell them that i'm pregnant or how long i'm being pregnant....I just told them I just wanted to know what's wrong with my stomach. to my surprise they all tell me i'm pregnant and even told me how many months I am.. I remembered that this lady were pregnant with twins and go through the same thing like me...they do scan for how many times and still tell her she's not pregnant. But she did give birth to a healthy twin boys. She was in labour together with my best friend. My best friend had a baby girl. Anyways i don't know what to do now....i'm due to Feb next year. But i can't take any risk of have some pills etc... i'll let you all know on Feb what going on....BUT RIGHT NOW I REALLY NEED YOUR ADVICE...ANYONE????? :(

Every so often we get women here that claim to be pregnant, because they "just know" and they're bodies are displaying some symptoms, and they have absolutely no medical evidence to back it up. I haven't seen any of them come back to say they were right and did actually give birth. I don't have any evidence to say that it's possible or not possible. It doesn't seem likely that medical science would not detect a fetus if there actually is one.

I don't think it's true that your ovaries would be "growing" unless there was some kind of tumors or cysts, (which might lead to pregnancy symptoms), you might want to get a different opinion from another doctor. We are not doctors, and we don't know you or your body. We can't tell you what's going on for sure. If you don't like what the doctors are saying, keep trying to find one that will help you determine the reason for your symptoms. And be mentally prepared to learn that you may not actually be pregnant.
