My son is 6 months old and all hes done lately is cry for hours and hours. Nothing works to get him to stop. Ive tried gripe water, Teething tablets, a warm bath, walking him around, feeding him more, singing to him, trying to get him to laugh and nothing has been working and Im so frustrated with him. Dont get me wrong I love my son with all I have but this crying is too much! Im at a loss and dont know what to do. I get so frustrated that Ive yelled at him and on one occasion I even put my hand on his mouth to get him to stop ( not to hurt him in any means just to end his loud screaming)(and yes I do know that that is completely unacceptible and it will never happen again) How do other mothers handle this? Is feeling this way normal? What should I do?

please seea dr ... I agree dr visit is a must . I belive babies cry for a reason . My baby started solids after 6 months and used to cry a lot ...it was gas which was causing discomfort . But did not cry for hours . Ur son could be ttething too but teething pain stops once teeth pops out . I brought sone soft musical toys ... Having thm around helped plus i nursed a lot ... which gave baby comfort . If he is having gas rocking him will help . it will be tiring though but sometimes child comfort is all that matters . Yes we got a rocker when my baby was 6 months old . She loved sittin in it . I really wish ur child feels better soon.u pl tk cr ... Being a mom is tough n demanding . Tk naps with ur baby . God bless u n ur child .

I feel your frustration......firstly a doctors visit is necessary to make sure your son is ok physically....weight gain, development, hernia, all kinds of things could be a problem......best to clear all possibilities medically .........Second, talk to a friend, parent, aunt or other moms in your circle of friends.......there advice and input will be valuable............Thirdly, have a break, babysitter or friend even if for only a couple hours a week.......hope that helps with where to start anyway..............Good luck
