I would think you can start trying at about 3 months. I think that is around the time that they usually tell mothers they can start trying again. I mean if you have irregular periods to begin with, then the hormonal change in your body due to the miscarriage, you never know when your hormones will balance out. I am not a doctor, or a nurse, so take my advice with a grain of salt, and maybe bring that info to your doctor and see if you can start trying at your 3 month mark. I guess that is the safe period where your body should be back to normal? But i have heard doctors tell mothers 1 month. But just check with them. Glad to hear everything else is checking out normal.

Huh...that is odd. have they done and ultra sound to make sure everything looks normal? if not, maybe request one. I am so sorry for your loss. Now it is time to get your body back in working order!

Have they checked for a fetal heartbeat? If you're still not sure whether you're still pregnant or not; in my state I can request one. I would try to get one for peace of mind. The things to look out for would be severe abdominal cramping and different discharge. I posted a link that would probably give you more information about the signs. (I hope the link works).

That's exactly what I was thinking Jodi. Are you sure that you had a miscarriage? It is possible for some women to have their periods while being pregnant.

It is possible. There are cases of twins where one twin miscarries. Not highly probable, but possible. Do you know for sure it was definitely a miscarriage? Was it confirmed for certain that there was a miscarried fetus?
