I had an ultrasound on Wednesday (22 weeks) and they informed me that they could only find one kidney and there wasn't a lot of amniotic fluid. I have had 2 healty pregnancies so I am very worried. They are sending me to a high risk doctor soon so hopefully I will get more answers. My baby is growing normal bit the doctor did tell me that the worse case scenario is the kidneys aren't functioning which means the baby wouldn't survive outside the womb. Has anyone had this happen to them?

I had something similar with my son. When I was pregnant with him one of his kidneys weren't growing properly and was significantly smaller than the other, however they didn't find this out until I was 35 weeks so at least I didn't have the stress you are going through.

After he was born he was closely monitored and at a few weeks old we were sent for an ultrasound to check the development. He was and still is perfectly fine. Wehave never had any issues with it.
