I hae a daughter that has Epilepsy,She is 10 yrs old.

My daughetr was diagnosed with Epilepsy in Feb,2009,She has had all different meds,I believe some cause behavior problems cause hers get out of control,She has Complex Partial Seizures..

Your husband's idea is a good one. And any decent doctor who has confidence in what he does would actually be ok with you getting a second opinion. I know doctors in the past who have SUGGESTED getting a second opinion if we wish (different issues, but still....). There is no harm in getting a second opinion if you aren't happy with the results of what you have already gone through.

We stay in touch with them all the time .She was placed in a Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and we Talked with Drs about her behavior and they want to send her to a Phych and put her on more meds..My husband is wanting to change dr's Get a second opinion

From what I know of epilepsy drugs (a friend of mine has a son with epilepsy), the effect of them changes when your kids have growth spurts, or hormonal changes. Over time, you have to continually monitor the dosages and effects. Have you been to see a doctor about it recently? They may need to make adjustments to the dosage, or to change the type of medication.

Remember she is also hitting prepuberty so a lot of her attitude issues are probably because she is growing up too.
