I have 2 boys 5 and 20 months.... I am trying to transition my 20 month old to a toddler bed and am having some difficulties. Should I stick with it and not go back or is he not ready yet?

Details: When in crib he slept thru the whole night approx. 7pm to 7am also taking a 1-3 hr nap during day. Now I try over a hour every night to put him to sleep, usually goes down at 8 or later. Wakes up before 6 every morning and usually sleeps part of the night on the floor by his bedroom door. This has happened for 10 days and is the 2nd attempt at the toddler bed......

too young or more patience!!!!!

At age 1 my older son(now 5) slept in twin bed just fine!

@ Michelle no reason for moving him and he was not climbing out. Our older son moved out of crib at 1 year old, so we just tried it with this son, but are now thinking he is not ready! We already got rid of the crib so he would be sleeping in a pack and play

My duaghter is 29 months and still in a cot (crib). Is there any reason you need to move him out yet? Has he tried climbing out?

My daughter will be in hers until she either outgrows it or starts to climb out.
