Well, it sounds like she needs a change in schedule. Do not let her go to sleep once she gets home. That was a similiar schedule for my son at his charter school. he needed to wake up by 6:30, we had to leave the house by 7 to get to school by 7:30 when it started. School would go until 3:30, and we would not get home until 4. He would do his homework, eat, watch some tv, and play. In bed by 7:30, sometimes 8 the latest. Some days no tv. Maybe you can try not to have her take a nap? It doesn't sound like she is getting enough sleep in one stretch. Also, it is best to have them do their homework as soon as they get out so they are still fresh and in the mode of doing work. I know it is a long day, and it can be difficult to switch a schedule around, but I honestly think she just is not getting enough sleep all at once. If she is in bed by 7:30 pm, she will have 11 1/2 hours of consecutive sleep.

That's not too much sleep, but that's a weird schedule. Try keeping her awake in the afternoon until 8 or so and having her go to bed at that time. If she REALLY needs a nap, wake her up after about 30 minutes while you are transitioning her.
My almost 11 year old NEEDS 10 or more hours of sleep at night. Some kids need more, some need less.
