i have a 10 year old daughter who lives on a very small variety of food and i am going out of my mind trying to widen her food selection and thought someone might have a simular problem

It's called "you must try everything on your plate". Probably a big reason she has such a small variety is that you have stopped serving to her when she has indicated she didn't like it. i apologise if I am incorrect on that one, but that is usually the problem.
It takes time to acquire taste. Making sure your children try a little of everything on their plates is important to developing this. Provide an incentive for them to trying a little of everything, even the things they think they don't like. (you are the best person to know what the incentive should be). I am not saying to EAT it all, just to have a reasonable taste. Take it a step at a time, and she will be eating more in no time.
My step son was the fussiest eater I know. i watched him gag on lettuce (you know, with all that horrible flavour), pumpkin, green vegetables, almost any vegetable, because these weren't things his mother served him. He now eats almost anything.
