I have a 2 month and 3 week old baby, and lately, it's been a pain gettin her to sleep. Help?

She stays awake all day long, and fusses and fusses and fusses. Nothing seems to soothe her. Then finally, at night she knocks out and sleeps from anywhere between 5-7 hours. She's so irritable, and I don't know what's wrong or what to do. I took her to the pediatrician and she say she's perfectly healthy, but why would a baby out of nowhere start fussing like this for no reason? Please help. I'm a new mom and know NOTHING.

I don't know why your baby is fussy, but one thing I know for SURE is that your baby's habits will keep changing all the time for the next year or more. Sleep patterns will change with growth spurts, teething, separation anxiety... Sometimes they will be very clingy and other times not so much. If she has a growth spurt she will want to eat all the time. Changes in diet or even season can affect them. When she is fussing all day, have you tried wearing her in a baby sling or maybe feeding her more often? Is she napping in the daytime? Just try to remember that she was INSIDE you for 40 weeks and OUTSIDE for 11 weeks. That's a huge adjustment. Give her lots of contact and warmth. Keep loving on her and responding the best you can. Before you know it, you'll be through this phase and on to the next! ;)
