how do i get my son to play on his own for a while or just watch tv so i can get things done around the house he will sit in his seat for a few but when he senses your not around he will start crying but the minute i go and pick him up he stops how do i get this to stop i really don't like to hear him cry for long but i would like for him to b able to play with his toys and or watch tv without feeling like he is alone and that he has to cry all the time just to b held

Hold him. He is not old enough to understand how to play or watch TV without feeling alone. He has no concept of object permanence. That means if he can't see you, he doesn't know you exist. That's pretty scary for a baby. He feels alone, because in his mind, he really IS! There is nothing you can do at this stage to teach him independence. He is not capable of it. Can you use a sling or baby carrier? I used to put my daughter in her bouncy seat or swing and sit that where she could see me while I worked.
