I guess I'm not sure what you're trying to convey here?

In my family, all of the children have their father's surname. And the more kids, the more of the same surname. It's fairly common.

However, if you are feeling that at least one of your children should carry your surname, then by all means, discuss it with your husband. I had considered that prior to my brother having children. If he'd not had any, I was going to give my youngest my family surname so that it would stay alive.

In the US most kids take their father's last name. Middle names can vary widely. My son has his father's middle name. My daughter has two middle names. Her first one is my grandmother's first name and her second one is her father's grandparents' last name. Lots of people pick a name they think is unique and sounds good with the baby's first and last name.

If you want your children to have your last name talk to your husband, it's not unheard at all, for children to take their mother's maiden name.

I don't know what else to say since you didn't really specify what you're looking for.

All my children have my middle name and their Dad's surname.

It's common for children to have their Dad's surname so I'm not really getting what this post is about either.
