I have a question about my daughter's appetite?

She has just turned 1 so I have started giving her table foods. She was eating just about everything that I was with the exception of foods that were really greasy. She was eating pasta, mashed potatoes, yams, peas, everything. But lately she has not been eating that much. She will only eat applesauce. Any other food, I have to force feed her. That doesn't last for long because she will start screaming so I just give up on feeding her. And also she drinks whole milk now but sometimes she doesn't want it. She will drink a little bit and then throw the bottle down. If I put like 3 ounces of her formula and then the rest of the bottle with milk, she will drink it. I am not sure if this is normal or not for a 1 year old?

Nope. My son had many breast milk only days til around 18 months though. You getting irritated and frustrated won't help anything, but could make it worse.

20 pounds at 12 months is a fairly average weight.

Offer her foods regularly, but keep letting her have formula. Stop stressing about it. Formula has all the nutrients and calories she needs for growth during this stage. If you fight with her it will become a power struggle. What and how much she eats isn't something you can control and if you try... she will continue to fight you on it.

I know a girl who at 2 years old would literally JUST lick the syrup off a waffle and be done with breakfast. She's a happy, healthy, well growing 10 year old now.

When my daughter doesn't eat her food or picks over it, sometimes I get really irritated and frustrated. At her 12 month old checkup her pediatrician said that she was underweight. She was only 20 lb 3 oz. I want her to eat balanced meals. She has been acting like this for over a week. Do you know how long this phase will last?

Yep. Normal. Let her eat as much or as little of whatever healthy foods you are offering and don't fight with her. If she doesn't eat much... just let her drink the formula until her appetite returns.
