I have a question for all the moms out there, What would you do about a friend who made a joke about being pregnant and it turns out to be about x-mas. How would you feel about it.

Someone I know who was having problem conceiving did something similar (different joke, but a joke all the same) on her FB status. I don't see why you should be so upset, it's not you that is having the problem conceiving. You have no idea how she feels, and joking about it, remaining positive and light hearted might just be the way she deals with it. I don't think you are really in a place to judge her for that. If you don't like her FB status, move on.

I've seen that joke.
Basically it's a post that starts out *oh, we're so excited to be expecting in X weeks, yada yada yada.* Then it ends with *We're ALL expecting. Christmas is almost here!*
It's just a silly thing. I don't really think it's offensive or anything. Kinda dumb maybe, but not something I would ever make a big deal about.

I'd move on, myself. Why, as others have stated, point out the obvious to her? She KNOWS that she's having trouble conceiving, and any time anyone chooses to make an insensitive comment regarding that she is cut to the bone.
So, rather than you seeing the lighter side, and the joke for what it really was...(I mean, seriously...there isn't a restriction on the use of the word "expecting" after all) you decided to get offended and call her out for being false? Nice...
I've had trouble conceiving myself, and even I would have seen the joke for what it was.

My friend did that and then it was about expecting her son home from college for Christmas. I don't get the problem and I don't get why you don't think she should joke about that. Maybe joking is a stress reliever BECAUSE of the problems she is having conceiving. You making a comment about it probably just threw reality in their faces again and I'd be ticked at you too.

She said that she is expecting and then when you read on it says that it is for x-mas, i think it is not right to joke about being expecting. I know that she is having problems getting pregnant and she knows what happend with me when i was pregnant with my son and what happend to him after being born.
