My son was born 2/13/09. He was born emergency C-section with the cord around his neck. He was without oxygen for 10 minutes (responded well to oxygen mask), but was seriously recommended to be care flighted to Children's in Little Rock. He was there for a month. Hardest time I have ever been through. He is six now, healthy. Thank God. He is however, having such a difficult time in school. I tried regular public school. Lasted a week. Then pretty much it seems I was forced by the school to put him in an outpatient school, which is pretty much a mental facility. I don't know how many times they have tried to talk me into admitting him as patient to the hospital. I refused. He is not insane. He just needs a little more attention. That's what I tried to explain in the first place, but no one would listen. So my son, is still currently in an outpatient school. He was first put on Adderall 5mg 2x day. Now, he is on 20mg once a day. Haven't seen any difference. Hopefully soon. Because I have read and done everything to my ability to get the best education for him and the best guidance. I just don't feel like anyone is fighting for him but me.
