I have read alot of the advice about potty training. Mine is a bit different. I have an 8 year old daughter. She wets the bed constantly. I have tried everything to stop it. Pills, encouragment, waking at night, cutting back liquids, etc. She is a heavy sleeper, overweight, and border line diabetic. She can't go to a friends house overnight and stays sad over this. I just don't know what to do for her. I am so tired of washing blankets everyday and am truley at my wits end. I really need some help!!!

Wetting the bed is quite normal for some children until they are 11, I would just get her "Good Nights" training pants for older children and let her go on the sleep overs. My niece is one of those who did this till she was 10, she would just go to the washroom to get ready for bed so no one knew she had it on and we would pack a plastic bag so that if she wet she could place it in the bag and put it in her back pack and we would dispose of it at home. This in no way hindered her from spending time with her friends. Her weight issue could be contributing to her inability to stay dry so I would truly encourage her to exercise more, and change her eating habits.
