Are you ready for this? If you haven't tried it, give it a whirl. My son will be 9 this month:Autistic, chromosome deletion & severe sleep disorder...basically, he doesn't sleep. This means he has all night to practice his Houdini moves...and he is a very, very good escapee. Backwards pj's, zip up the back pj's - snaps, zippers, velcro, tape & flaps don't matter -he gets it all off. And, as you know, when a pull- up has been off for any length of time, you know exactly what surprises await you.I was desperate but found an answer & it has worked for two weeks straight!!!!! Try this...purchase non-stretch neck pj's that zip up the back. Go to a sewing store (I went to Hobby Lobby) and purchased a pack of pinch-locks (5 in a pack, $2.99)...these are the type of locks that you'll see on backpacks & dog/cat collars...one piece slides into the other and you have to PINCH in the middle to unlock. I sewed this to the back of the PJ's collar...on top of the zipper. Use upholstery thread that will not break or snap - any store has this:Walmart/ HobbyLobby. With the collar not stretchy, there was NO WAY he has the dexterity to reach behind blindly and pinch that clasp apart. I've even got a pair of pjs where I sewed on three of these clasps, about 1/2 inch apart (just enough to get my own fingers between & pinch). I hope this helps you - it's is changing our life.
