I had no idea that so many babies were left to die in cars! I cried for days. Apparently 35ish babies are "forgotten" in cars every year. The 11 page article was correct. I looked it up. I live in WA so there were 3 deaths and who knows if any were babies. I hope not. On page 6 or 7 it says one child pulled out all her hair before she died. I had nightmares. The author quoted a mother's screams and pleading and a fathers's breakdown in court... it's just awful. I hated that author so much those nights that I could think of nothing else. They should be remembered...but does it have to be so graphic? I do think it is very unlikely that anyone will read about this and later forget their child in the car. I would have thought that impossible, anyway, but I am a stay-at-home mom. I haven't had much distraction from my kids in the last 16 years.
