I just took a test this morning and got a strong positive. I knew that something had been off with my moods swings and the missed period. My fiancé is very excited about this news, and my mom doesn't seem to mind either.. I'm excited but scared at the same time. This will be my first child and don't really know what to expect... Any advice would help :)

I'm a pretty skinny person and I not sure how well my body will stretch for the baby. This morning I was laying in a chair outside and went to get up and had some sharp pains in my abbs... Is that normal?

Firstly congratulations! :)

How exciting for you. Your gonna be a mummy! Fantastic news! I had my first baby 7 months ago.
There was heaps of ups & downs during my pregnancy but I loved every minute of it & would do it again in a heartbeat.

I dont know how common it is,i was lucky i only got sick once in the very early stage of pregnancy and then towards the end i had to throw up everytime after taking the pregnancy vitamin tablets,so i was aloud to stop taking them.I hope you are also lucky and dont have to go through morning sickness.

Thank you... I will make sure I get into the doctor soon... I just got approved for Medicaid and will probably apply for wic as well.... Do you know how common morning sickness is? I feel better now than I did before I got pregnant

Well congratulations first of all. Most moms go through the same feelings as you. First step is to make a doctors appointment, and they will confirm your pregnancy and possibly give you a vaginal ultrasound to try and date how old the baby is. They will also talk to you about your prenatal vitamins and how to take care of you and baby during your pregnancy. Good luck!
