Have you considered being upfront with the landlord and asking to work something out. If the landlord owns many properties maybe you can do some lawn maintenance, move out cleans and painting to help earn money towards rent.

What kind of help are you looking for? I do not know anyone that can just give you the money. Unfortunate as it is, this economy has done a number on a lot of us so, I can understand what it feels like to be overwhelmed when you do not have the money to pay bills. You need to see what you can work out with the landlord and explain what is going on. You need to set a budget for the money you do have coming in and stick to it. Stop buying stuff just because, don't eat out, don't buy the name brands of groceries and such, get what you have to have to survive. Make your daughter follow this too. Its not only you this affects, because it does her as well and she can pitch in and help you do things to make the money go farther. If you have a cell phone and she does as well, cut it to one phone. She does not need it and if you can use a prepaid phone (this was a lifesaver for me during a very rough time). Also, use coupons when grocery shopping, it can help cut some of the bill down. If you have cable, drop it. If you have internet, drop it. Go use the internet at the library for homework or email. Don't rent movies anymore, use the ones at the library. If you have gone out for entertainment, see what free things are offered to do in your town. And if you can walk to the store for instance to get a few things you need, do that and save the gas for the long hauls.
