In addition to Raye's suggestions... thrift stores often have baby items in good condition. You'll want to check for recalls on any furniture items and ONLY buy car seats brand new (no second hand), but clothes and toys and some other things can always be bought at thrift stores for pretty cheap.
DHS might be able to point you in the direction of resources to help you long term while you look for a job and childcare (if you don't have those already).

How old are you?
Is your family helping you?
Is the father and/or his family helping you?
You should check with local churches or other charity organizations in your area to see if they can help, or point you in the right direction.
