I'm almost 4 months pregnant and just wondered what is the average/healthy weight that I should gain during pregnacy? I know it might depend on size already but when I found out I was pregnant and was 107lbs. Any ideas?

'They' typically say 25-35 pounds. 107 at 5'5" seems a bit on the thin side, so 'they' might want you to gain in the 30-35 pound range. I will tell you that I am significantly smaller than you and gained maybe 20 pounds (I don't gain weight easily) with my son... and he was a healthy thing at 7 pounds. :) I also know a woman who gained 60 pounds while pregnant and you wouldn't know it to look at her now.

Basically... eat healthy and do your best.

They will probably tell you to gain around 25-30 pounds, since you started off on the light side. Your height will help to determine your BMI, and that can affect how much weight you should gain as well. Your doctor will weigh you at each visit and get after you if you're not gaining enough, believe me!
