It's been a while since I've had a chance to get on here but I just had to come by and let everybody know how things were going.
First, I had my son back on January 30, 2013. He is just absolutely perfect. We have had a bumpy road with him. Had a hard (but short!) labor. We were released from the hospital when we were supposed to be. The day after we were released, he stopped eating and his blood sugar dropped to 31. He was sent to the children's hospital in my state and on the way down there they discovered he was having seizures. We spent 5 days in the PICU and was then moved to a different floor and was released after 2 weeks of being there. While there, we discovered he had some brain damage, and while the doctor said he could live a "normal" life, he will never live up to his full potential. But despite all of that he has been wonderful! He started holding his head up when he was about 3 weeks old (it was him starting, not saying it was all the time!). He has been eating wonderfully, his blood sugar has not dropped again, and the doctors have said that if you didn't know it happened to him, you would never believe that had happened to him. So proud of my little man.
As for my daughter, we are about to finish up with her first year at Preschool! She will be 4 later this month and although she isn't potty trained yet, we have been taking major leaps towards that happening! She is starting to talk a lot more! I can actually have a conversation with my girl now!
But all in all, life has been going pretty good. Hubby and I are going to court over SD in June. There has been plenty of crazy things going on with that but that's for another time!
