My 7 month old slept through the night at 8 weeks until 5 months. Since 5 months old, she has gotten up several times a night. I have made some major changes like a sleep routine and schedule, added white noise and I always try to put her down drowsy so she finishes falling asleep in her crib. I keep my arms next to her and quietly shush her to sleep and it works great, at bedtime. She usually stays asleep for about 4 hours and when she wakes up it’s almost impossible to get her back into her bed. I will nurse, rock, walk and she will usually fall asleep pretty quickly in my arms but refuses to let me put her back down. Even putting her in bed with me doesn’t work. I am up for sometimes 2 hours before being able to get her back in her crib or settled in bed with me.
Cry it out is not an option that will work for our family but I need my sanity back. Does anyone have any advice for getting her back to sleep faster? I don’t really mind getting up and feeding her, I just can’t be up for 2 hours.

I have been through this with both my sons and i know how horrible it is to be sleep deprived. Just try to remember that THIS TOO SHALL PASS. I know how frustrating it is, she may be teething or going through a sleep regression. When my youngest was almost a year we would do our bedtime routine (bath, story snuggle nurse etc) then put him down when he was half asleep and let him cry it out for 2 min, then 5 min and then he eventually learned to put himself to sleep. If there is any stress in the family it affects them too, especially if they can tell you are upset! I hope you have someone nearby that you can trust to come help you for a bit so you can get some rest! It WILL get easier I promise. Good luck.
