I'm grandmom to a 5 year old and I was surfing the web to find some answers. My worry is that he writes all numbers and letters from the bottom to the top. They look nice, but I was afraid it was going to effect his learning experience. Thanks

My grandson is writing all his letters and numbers from the bottom to the top.
Will this effect his learning process in future years?

Hi Jeanette,

Directly after I read your response yesterday, I goggled dyslexia.

As you say, he is a little too young yet, but by the end of the school
year it will surface.

Thanks again,

You are very welcome! It's a little too soon to tell at that age but you should google dyslexia anyways and learn more about it. All the best!

Regards:)

thanks Jeanette. Yes, that is what I'm talking about. I must look up dyslexia, as
I have never been touched by this and therefore do not know. He was in
pre-school and has just entered kindergarten. Thank you for your responding.

My best,

My daughter was writing upside down (if this is what u mean by saying bottom to top?) and at first we thought that she'll be dyslexia (because of daddy) but I was told that it's normal for kids at that age to write like that. She's now 14 and she's a very bright girl!:)
As soon as he starts school as well, they should be able yo tell you once he gets tested. Good luck!:)
