Well after a year of trying I found out at the beginning of January that I was pregnant. All the troubles started three weeks later. I had terrible pain in my stomach and had to go to the hospital. It turns out I had an ovarian cyst rupture. I was only 5 weeks along, so they couldn't even tell me for almost 3 weeks if the baby was ok. Baby was ok, but they found another large cyst on the other ovary. It is 12 cm, and has tended to get larger. They have decided to just leave it, and hopefully it doesn't cause me alot of pain when I get bigger. So I made it through those tough7 weeks of pain and not knowing. Then I had some pain on the one side of my neck. I actually though that I had been bit by a spider or something on my neck. Finally after 2 days of this crazy pain, I went to the hospital and I had shingles. Shingles is chickenpox for people who have already had chickenpox. The virus stays in your spinal nerve cells after you get it, and can come anytime your immune system is down. It usually happens to seniors. So the virus travels up your nerves to the outside of your skin. It is sooo painful. The chickenpox virus is very bad to unborn baby, but my doctor has assured me that my baby will be fine. I can't help but feel that he may be sugar coating that a little. Two weeks later, I wake up and am bleeding alot of bright red blood. I immediately assume the worse as I think any woman would. It turns out I have partial placental abrubption. The placenta detached some from the wall of the uterus causing bleeding. It hopefully can totally heal, but it also can get alot worse.

I am now at 17 weeks tomorrow, and have been through so much already. I am very worried that the baby isn't ok all the time, as I am sure anyone in my position would be. Oh and the baby is breach...I know it is still very early, but that seems about right...lol. I just needed to vent a little and wonder if anyone is or has gone through a tough pregnancy as well. I feel like I need some support and as much as I love my Man....he just isn't doing that for me. Well here's to hoping it all gets better!!!

O, you have been through so much already. One question though: Why not go for second opinion? Just for a bit of assurance? maybe it will also help to put your mind at ease. All the best of luck to you and your pregnancy. God bless. :)

*hugs* A great pregnancy related site to check out is parentingweekly.com, they have a section for pregnant moms and it is pretty much guaranteed you'll find someone there to relate with and there is also a section to talk with other moms at the same gestation as you to get an idea of what may be normal. Breach is VERY normal at this age... they've got so much room to move around in there! No need to worry about that until you're about 37wks. I did not have a rough pregnancy like that so I wanted to share with you that other site that may be more helpful to you.
