I am 45, in the process of adopting a 4 year old we have had since 2.8 years old. We foster/ adopt. We were going to be done after her, but God has giving us more blessings. Shortly after we found out we get to adopt her; we were asked to take 3 more into our home, ages 7mo, 2y, and 3y, a sibling group, who may be eligible for adoption. My mother -in- law called me and I quote asked me "what are you doing?- you are not being fair to your 4 year old. - you will be on AARP in five years." I was very upset. I could never have children and really wanted to have "some". I just found out that the sibling group we have -mother is pregnant again. I question myself (am I being fair to these children?, will I be to old for them? should I adopt these kiddos?) I do believe that "what comes to you - let it come, what stays with you- let it stay, and what goes- let it go.
