Hi ladies, I'm new to this site and I just have no one else to ask for advice. I hope I am in the right place!

My daughter is almost a year old and I want to wean her off nursing. I don't nurse her anymore during the day, only before bed, once in middle of the night and once at 6am. She is now drinking regular milk and loves it.

I can't decide if I should just stop cold turkey now or cut out one feeding at a time. I feel like I am hurting her every time I cut out a feeding and it may just be better for her if I completely stop. She cries so much when she misses her feeding, is it just better if she cries for a day or two and then forgets it?

Thank you in advance!

Cutting out one feeding at a time is best for both of you. It doesn't sound like she's ready to wean though. You don't HAVE to wean her. You can let her continue until she is ready to quit, but if you want to be done... just keep cutting out one feed at a time until there are none left.

I am trying to wean her because I want to have another baby soon and my doctor doesn't think I eat enough to support three people. A part of me doesn't want to wean her completely but I know that my body can't handle feeding two kids. No matter how hard I try to eat, I can't eat more than a little bit of food every day or I get sick.
