My son was born at 32 weeks and has always on similac. When he was 3 months they tried to change him to gerber good start, i was told it took time to transition to new formula, but when he went two straoght days without eating and spitting the very little i did get him to take in we ended up in the E.R. He was extremely dehydrated. We then put him on similacsimilac sensitive and it was my miracle i got my happy little baby back. NOW that he's 7 months hes been getting fussy and spitting up the formula and crys like he has an empty tummy. His pediatrician prescribed Ranitidine for heart burn and enfamil A.R. The issue is i have WIC and i cant get my son to drink the powder formula but he'll drink the ready to use as long as its cold. Is there another formula that i can try that will help or any kind of advise??

Not sure if this will help or not .. but I was told my a pharmacist that you could switch formula at anytime .. if there are any issues to talk to your family doctor so don't worry about going from one formula to the next just keep trying till you get it right , also I was told boys sometimes have a lot of iron already in them and was recommended to use a low iron formula to keep his tummy settled .. good luck :)

Maybe you could talk to the WIC providers and explain the situation and ask the doctor to write a note and get the formula you need? Maybe they would help.
