I'm trying to potty train my 4 year old son?

I'm trying to potty train my 4 year old son...but it seems to me like that he has no interest in using the potty! It's like he will go when he's at preschool but not when he's at home! Just trying to figure out if there's anyways or anything that I can try to get him to go on the toilet at home! I already tried the reward thing but that was not a success! I even tried letting him just sit there and drink liquids. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong for him to not want to use the bathroom! Should I try to teach him standing first or sitting first?

Hi Heather. After reading your post it made me smile and trust me after my morning,I needed that. Thank you! I have 3 sons which I raised on my own and believe me I went through countless ideas to potty train. The best that worked for me was a boy orietated sticker board. I went to Five&Below bought every boy sticker there was and took computer paper, lined it and told my son that everytime he used the potty like a big boy he could put any sticker he liked on the board. I didn't label with days or numbers,to me that wasn't my objective to teach that,it was how many stickers he himself could put up there everyday. It worked!! I could see he had more and more stickers as the days went by. Not so much at first but like anything else patience is a virtue. I used this with all 3 of my sons. I wish you luck in your potty traing adventures.😊
