I'm worried I might be pregnant again and that I've really hurt my baby?

the farthest along I could be is about 4-6 weeks and I've been taking birth control and drinking heavily and smoking heavily. Also there was a party a couple weeks ago and I partook in a few things I probably shouldn't have. I'm worried that if I am pregnant I might've really harmed the baby. Please don't be super judgmental.

I went out one night and had loads to drink and smoked, I felt really bloated but just didn't put two and two together until a few days later it hit me that I was 6 days late! Did a test and yes I was pregnant I was consumed with guilt instantly But the doctor didn't seem that concerned as long as I didn't make a habit of it and stopped. My daughter is 4.5 and is very bright, she dose have asthma but then so dose my oldest daughter who's start out was nothing a like.

Although that's no good. I know people who've had no problems with their kids. Just stop all of it now and you should be fine and goodluck with your pregnancy. Your baby should be fine. :)

It takes a few weeks for the placenta to actually form and begin transferring nutrients or toxins to the fetus so like everyone else said just stop now and take a test so you know.

Most likely the baby will be fine as long as you stop now (or have now stopped). If I remember correctly the baby doesn't start taking things directly from you at first, so dangerous things consumed in the first few weeks of pregnancy don't impact the baby (although certainly aren't a good idea for anyone). After that, of course, it definitely becomes harmful, so act as if you are pregnant from this moment until you know for sure.

The baby will be fine. Just take a test and if it is positive, STOP doing all of it, from here on in. It happens to a lot of women. We often do not know right away that we are pregnant. At this stage it is just cell division and creation of an embryo. Yes, if you have knowledge of being pregnant you should refrain from anything negative but if you did not know, don't worry, the baby will be fine. ;)

First, find out if you are indeed pregnant and proceed as the others have said and stop drinking and smoking and maintain a healthy weight, diet and fitness level. Second, as this seems to concern you that you might have made some bad choices and that they might affect the baby, stop smoking and drink in moderation, maintain a healthy weight, diet and fitness level, in case you ever do become pregnant. Being healthy is always a good choice pregnant or not.
I recently lost my mother way too young (67) due to lung cancer and smoking. She always wanted to be able to quit and just couldn't quite succeed. I don't judge her for her habit and I am not judging you either. I know she smoked while pregnant with me, I haven't suffered from any ill affects. I never smoked or drank with my children and my eldest also has asthma. Of course, even doing things the best you can is no guarantee that your child will be perfectly healthy. But do your best for yourself and for all your future children. Live long and healthy.

Of course there are no guarantees and even one sip of alcohol or whatnot can cause problems, but overall I would think you should be fine. My first child was conceived when I was 17. I was always high back then and smoked a lot. When I found out I was pregnant, I was 9 weeks along and hadn't been good for those 9 weeks. I worried the whole pregnancy - as I should have! HOWEVER, he is now 15 years old and has been one of the healthiest people I've ever known. After eight years of infertility, getting pregnant again was the last thing I expected to happen. I rarely drink but my husband and I went out and I had a good amount of wine. I found out a few weeks later that I was pregnant! I, again, worried the whole pregnancy - especially after wanting this child and dreaming of him/her for soooooooo long. I kind of hated myself for having drinks. However, she is nearly 3 now and other than hyper-emotional (a long time family trait that skipped me but attacked her with a vengeance) she has been completely healthy.

So, just straighten yourself up from here on out and though no one can give you magic promises, chances are your child would be fine. Also, learn from this that if you COULD get pregnant, try not to go too overboard at the "bad" things. ;)

It's amazing how resilient those little babies are & how well-protected
they are in their mother's womb. Don't worry. Worry will do more
harm than anything else. Great advice here from all these Mom's.
They have said it all. Best of luck to you.

If you have health insurance, make an appointment with an OB-GYN doctor for 2-4 weeks away. Explain that you want a pregnancy check. No health insurance, instead of buying alcohol buy a home pregnancy test and check yourself, BUT make sure you FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS, or you could get a false positive.

Stop taking the birth control if you really think you are pregnant. Wait to see the doctor to find out the truth. If you did drugs and you are pregnant it does not automatically mean you have harmed a fetus. The same goes for the drinking and smoking. Look at it this way......anything that can cause harm to your body can cause harm to a fetus.

Last but not least, STOP THE WORRYING....worry is based in FEAR and the cycle could go on endlessly.

OMG u smoked, big deal. Take a test n find out if u are or not. Not too big of a deal for partying this early. Most people dont know they are pg til they are already a month along aka 4-6 weeks.

I wouldn't even worry about it. Now a couple months down the road it could cause problems, but this early in the game. No worries, besides if you are worried talk to your doctor or midwife. Best of wishes if you are pregnant.

Go to the doctors or get a pregancy test, see if your actually pregnant. Alot of women have accidentally smoked and drank alcohol when their babies were a few weeks no big deal it wouldn't hurt the baby but please do try to give everything up if you are pregnant as smoking when pregnant promotes small babies and asthma.

My granddaughter is now 13 and has never really been ill. She is gifted. Her mom was doing God knows what drugs when she found out she was pregnant at 12 weeks. She stopped everything. I have always said her child saved her life.

I was in AMSTERDAM when I found out I was pregnant. MMHMM after a night of hash brownies red wine etc... I woke up the next morning looked at my husband and said I'M PREGNANT! I knew it because I got the same feeling I got when I was pregnant with my first. I stopped everything that second and I took a test when we got home BAM positive! My daughter is now 1.5 years old and completely normal happy little girl. Like everyone else said lay off the bad stuff, take a test and see your doctor. I hope everything turns out well for you!

I had that issue at the being of my first pregnancy when I was 19 and my twins came out perfectly healthy at over 7 pounds each 5 days before their due date. A lot of women have moments like that. Don't beat yourself up about it. Just take better care from here on out if you find out you are. Hang in there.

You should probably be fine...the baby is usually pretty protected until implantation from this sort of stuff. Now that you know you might be pregnant, you can take better care. One of my dear friends was about the same amount pregnant as you, and went to a very wild bachelorette party for a friend. Her baby was A-OK. I hope the same for you. And no judging...how could you have known?

If it helps, here is something my OB told me....
"If all the babies that were conceived while Moms were drunk had problems, this would be a screwed up world." :o)
You are very early in your pregnancy, if you are pregnant. Just stop drinking, smoking and whatever the other things are that you shouldn't have done.

Just stop smoking and drinking from now on. Do a test and find out for sure. Your not the only one that has done this. The dangers lie if you continue to drink and smoke. Your baby will be fine dont worry about it. :-)
