Hi,

My name is Amber. I found out 2 weeks ago that my baby had no heartbeat. I was almost 11 weeks and they had said that I had lost it at almost 9 weeks. This past Saturday they gave me Misoprostol 200 MCG to take. Saturday night when i got off work I took 2 of them at 11p.m. Nothing happened so that following morning at 6 a.m I took the last 2. I was instructed to take these orally. Nothing again happend all day Sunday. Monday I called my doctor and she prescribed me 24 more. She said thake 2 orally 3 times a day. I took my first 2 at about 1p.m. I took my second at 7p.m. I took my 3rd dose at about midnight. And then my 4th at 6a.m and just took my 5th dose. Still nothing is happening. I have read that it just dosnt work on some girls. I really don't want the dmc. I would rather this happen naturally at home in my own privacy. I don't know what else to do.. I'm suppose to take this script untill it does somthing. It's enough for 3 days. Theres still nothing happening.. no cramping, bleeding.. nothing.. All together I have now taking 7 doses orally and Im having a feeling my body is not going to react to it.. Does anyone have any further advice or information for me

They should be doing another ultrasound and see what is going on. It sounds like you'll need a D&C. I needed one for both of my miscarriages, one was like yours, I had complications and needed an emergency D&C though. With my second miscarriage they were watching via ultrasound for a week with no medications. Since not enough was happening they gave me some medications and an antibiotic, but they didn't do anything, they only tried one dose. After that I had the D&C and it showed that I had swollen areas. Even after that I was on antibiotics for a few weeks after.
