I had 2 that were 6 pounds and 1 that weighed 5#9oz. 6 pounds really isn't that big. Stay in bed as much as possiable and get plenty of rest cause your gonna need it.I can't believe they sent you home. Wow...not sure about how I would handle that.

Agree with the other ladies, try to stay in bed as much as possible. Lay on your left side, it will help blood flow.

Try to put yourself on bed rest until then. Ask them about something called a "non stress test" checks the baby and you out for a few hours on monitors to make sure everyone is ok. If you can, please update us. Hoping the best for you and baby!

I cant believe they let you leave the hospital! When I went into labor at 32 weeks ,they told me I would be there until I gave birth. They held him off for a couple days and pumped me full of steriods ...which developed his lungs...then he was in distress and had to come on out. He was perfectly healthly ...which is NOT NORMAL for 32 weeks....but stilll was in the hospital for almost a month.

Oh and they had told me he was around 6 pds but he was 4ish

Tell work you are going on maternity leave early due to medical complications and rest as much as you can. An 8lb baby is better than a 6lb one...

A lot of times the ultra sounds are WRONG about weight. My son was suppose to be like 10lbs and he was 8lbs 2oz. My daughter was suppose to be 8-9 and she was JUST 7lbs 2oz. It is a guess, not an exact prediction. If your baby comes early, at that age there is a wonderful chance of everything being normal, but Dove is right. The longer they cook the better.

If you can't take the pills.... go back in to the hospital. 6 pounds is a decent enough weight, but ultrasounds can be off by a pound or more (so could be 5 pounds or less). Regardless of size.... you don't want to give birth to a 32 weeker if it can be avoided. Lung maturity is WAY more important than size. Unless, of course, you want a baby in the NICU w/ the potential to have life long problems.

I don't doubt that you are miserable, but your baby is WAY better off where he is for at least the next 5 weeks.
