My daughter is mixed with black and white , I'm white and her dad is African American. She use to have beautiful lock curls when she was a toddler now her is curly and wavy but when she straightens it , it becomes big straight and soft and she doesn't like the results because it's not flat. I took her two weeks ago to a salon the did an outstanding job her hair was flat , straight , light and thin she loved it till she had to wash it and it didn't turn back to the way they had it I need help she's upset and I can't afford to keep paying someone .

Tell your daughter to accept the beautiful and intelligent girl that she is no matter what her hair looks like. Teach her to love her inner self and to pay less attention to the outer self.
