Anyone have a private plan(like not through hubbys work, his is way to high) that is affordable and covers maternity. I am not pregnant but will be trying for #2 in about a year. I have tried google health insurance but all sorts of things come up and im just not comfortable picking it out online. Any sugestions would be much appreciated along with some details.

Let me know if you find anything. My husband has insurance from his work, our son has medicaid but until a month ago, I had no insurance. We ended up having to add me to my husband's plan, expensive as it is. We just had to do it because I had to have the insurance. We are those people who make too much to qualify for assistance but not enough to pay for our own. We had to cut WAY back on a lot of things to afford adding me. And thanks to President Obama, my son's medicaid was reinstated. They had originally cancelled his medicaid when he turned a year old and then shortly after, Mr. Obama won the election and ordered medicaid to reinstate over 60,000 uninsured children nationwide...my son was one of those. Let me know if you find something cheaper...we're paying almost $500 a month just for my husband and myself (Blue Cross & Blue Shield). And the worst part is...that's the lowest plan they offered. And it sucks.

If you find anything out, please let me know if possible. My husband can add me to his insurance (Blue Cross, Blue Shield), but it will cost $300 monthly. We simply cannot afford that.

Yeah we are in the exact same boat, my daughters medicaid will end september 1st. I hope she will qualify for it again but my husband had been short on work thanks to the slow economy. There's no way we could afford $500 amonth. His ins. through his work is only $80 a month but adding me would be and extra 280 or something crazy. I'll let ya know.
