I moved in with my boyfriend about 6 months ago, he has a beautiful 3 almost 4 yr old daughter, and we had no problems until about a week ago. Her dad is a night security guard and I am a waitress so twice a week when our scheduals don't match up right she is home with him while he is sleeping usually no longer than 2 hours unsupervised. Like I said no problems until a week ago after we got back from a weekend trip outta town, she pooped in her room. Like bad, smeared it all over the walls, put it in the hallway and the kitchen, it surprised the hell outta us bc she's been potty trained since she was 1 1/2. We punished her and had a talk about big girls Yada Yada, then she pooped off of a jumper trampoline shes has, as in postured herself on the handles so her butt was hanging off and the poop rolled down the bar and a couple days later she did it again only we caught her in the middle of the night eating it.... And then tonight 2 hours after her bed time I walk by her room and see she's awake and butt naked on her bed so I go in to tell her to go to bed and put her panties on and see a huge wet spot on the bed. She saw that I saw it and said I peed on the bed I'm sorry. Her dad is at work tonightso I called him and we are considering putting her back in diapers. We are at our wits end and don't know what else to do. All the stuff I've found online so far says that kids might do this if there's some sort of change but since my moving in 6 months ago there hasn't been any changes, if anything she's been having more fun bc on days when her dad has to catch up on sleep I take her to the park or to go play at grandmas, and th day before the first incident we got back from a trip where we took her to the zoo and an interactive science play museum. I can't think of any new stress that could cause her to do this I need advice please help. I'm 20 yrs old and am new to the mommy thing I've babysat and worked in church nurserys my entire life but this is nothing like that please

I can't imagine an almost 4 year old EATING poop unless something serious is going on in that little head of hers. A toddler maybe, but she's definitely old enough to know and understand how gross that is. Get her in to the doctor. Something is going on... whether physical or mental... and it needs checked out.

There has to be something going on and her eating the poo is not normal. Has her dad considered taking her to the doctor and getting it checked out? Changes as you as an adult sees them is not what a child sees them as. Try to find out what is going on.

Her mom is not in the picture much they are divorced and she is in military training. She comes into town every once in awhile, last time she was here for 2 weeks and spent only 6 hours with her daughter. She doesn't care to be around for her. But this is also nothing new for kaylie it's been like that even when they were married
