My son is 11 and is severely autistic. He is non-verbal and not potty-trained. I have tried to apply for Medicaid and I was denied because of my income. I read some blogs on here about this, but they were from 2011, 2010. I saw that some posted that the way to do it was to get a lawyer, get a waiver, get them declared disabled, get something for a doctor, write here, call here. Well, I have been jumping through hoops and I am getting worn out. I keep getting the run around and sent to this place and then back to this place and I end up in the same place. Nowhere. I am in Kansas, so I am hoping I can get some useful feedback. Don't do it for me, do it for Preston my son. He deserves to get the help he needs. It pains me that he can't get what he needs because I can't afford it and the state won't help like they are supposed to.
