my grand daughter whom i just got custody of, is 16. she has been diagnosed as bi-polar heres my concern, she still plays with babydolls, needs help bathing if not she wont wash herself. has no concept of money, at times she is withdrawn kinda like in her own world. the doctor who i take her to is starting to agree with me however the school still has her in regular classes where she is made fun of everyday please help! i know during her delivery the oxygen was cut off from the brain for about 3 minutes. what could it be. she does have different facial features you can tell she's special by looking at her

This sounds less like bipolar disorder and more like autism or possibly down syndrome. I would lead more to autism though because down syndrome has key physical features others would have picked up on by now. Or it could be that she is in a very depressive state in her bipolar disorder. I would take her to get a second opinion from another doctor at the very least. FYI...I just graduated with my bachelor of social work so I do know some of the signs.
